Jane's back!

Channel 9 announced at the end of 2018 that plans for a "Halifax f.p." reboot were going ahead.
The project will be titled "Halifax: Retribution" and will see Rebecca reprising her iconic role of forensic psychiatrist,
Jane Halifax. Production of 8 episodes (45 mins each) is scheduled to begin in July 2019.

Anthony LaPaglia, Jessica Marais, Jacqueline McKenzie and Claudia Karvan are among the actors who have been
announced to star on the show alongside Rebecca.

The Killing Field  returns as TV- series!

Rebecca hasrecently wrapped production of "Winter", a drama series based on the TV movie "The Killing Field".
She stars as Detective Eve Winter  alongside
Peter O'Brien. The series will premiere on Channel 7 in 2015.

*Update 27/01/15: "Winter" is premiering on Channel 7 at 9pm on February 4!

In other news Bec is also currently involved in shooting a new movie. "The Dressmaker" stars Kate Winslet and is
set to be released later next year.

New TV project 

Rebecca is set to star in a brand-new Telemovie for Channel 7. The movie is titled "The Killing Field" and currently being
cast. Shooting starts in November 2013. The genre is crime and Rebecca has been announced as one of the leads but
will also be co-producing the project.

Rebecca to be part of Tropfest Short Film Festival!

On another note, PACKED TO THE RAFTERS will finally be returning to aussie TV on January 29th
(Jessica Marais' birthday! ;) ) with the final episodes of Season 5, as well as the latest 6th Season!!


Congrats to Rebecca on scoring a nomination as Best Supporting Actress for next year's AACTA Awards!!!
Fingers crossed she'll win. PJ Hogan's film "Mental" has also been nominated in 5 other categories.

"The People Speak"


Rebecca stars alongside several well-known australian actors in a new documentary called "The People Speak".
It will be aired for the first time on Sunday, 2nd December 2012, on the australian Pay-TV Channel

Rebecca goes "Mental"

Rebecca stars alongside Toni Collette, Anthony LaPaglia & Liev Schreiber in director PJ Hogan's
brand-new australian comedy "Mental".
Rebecca plays the character Shirley Moochmore, mother of five, that goes 'mental'.
The movie hits australian cinemas 4. October 2012.

New Zealand - 25. October
UK & Ireland - 16. November
 

 

"Mental" Melbourne & Gold Coast Premieres

Rebecca attended the Melbourne premiere of her new movie on 18.August.
She was joined by fellow australian actresses and close friends Jane Hall and Kerry Armstrong
as well as her husband Richard Bell.
The Gold Coast premiere was held the day after at the Jupiters Hotel and Casino.

Zachary's acting debut

Yes it is true! Rebecca's cute 8 year-old son, Zachary Edison Bell, has played his very first part
in a short film written, directed & produced by his parents.
The title of the short is "Seek" and it was screened at the Newport Beach Film Festival in
Costa Mesa, CA. The film is approx. 7 min long and has the tagline: "How far will a mother go for her son?".
Rebecca plays the mother and Zach her son.

 

Rebecca and Richard's new project

Great news for all Rebecca fans! Rebecca and her husband, production designer, Richard Bell are
reportedly working on a new drama for Channel 7.
A pilot is scheduled to be made in 2012, with a possible airing sometime in 2013...
No specific details have been published yet, but I can't wait to see what they have come
up with! Wouldn't you love to see Rebecca star in an additional drama to "Rafters"?
